Monkey’s Mum Featured as Woman’s Own Role Model
We’re thrilled to share the news that Monkey’s mum, Helen Sadler, is a runner up in the Woman’s Own Role Model Awards 2015!
Developed and run in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, the awards aim to help highlight and reward inspirational women who make a difference to other people’s lives.
The overall winner was Sara Cutting whose 365 Day Daily Different Headgear Challenge has raised more than £12,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Sara’s great work has helped raise awareness of breast cancer, as well as much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and you can check out her daily photos on Twitter and Instagram.
Helen and Sara were joined by finalist Shamela Kylassum , the founder of BollyGOOD, a unique yearly event which encourages people from across the globe to dance a Bollywood routine and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Last year, BollyGOOD raised £10,000 Macmillan and the next event is scheduled to take place in July. For more details visit the BollyGOOD Facebook page.
